Baby massage is an amazing gift that enables babies and parents/caregivers to experience the wonders of touch.
The benefits of baby massage have been enjoyed in other cultures for centuries, seen as routine by many.
Australian parents and caregivers can now learn the same techniques to help their baby’s development
The Benefits of Baby Massage
- Bonding – massage helps build a bond between the parent/caregiver and child.
- Digestive - a massaged babies suffer from less colic, constipation, diarrhoea and feed better.
- Emotional – babies gain more confidence, fostering a well-balanced and confident adult in later life.
- Immune System – massaged babies have stronger immune systems resisting infections & other health issues.
- Joints and Muscles – baby massage leads to more flexible joints and muscles and greater muscular co-ordination.
- Nervous System – irritability and tantrums are reduced with massage; a calm baby will lead to a calm parent/caregiver.
- Respiratory – baby massage will lessen coughs, colds and infections of the ear and nasal passages.
- Security – massage helps secure a relationship between parent/caregiver and child.
